We started MatchyBG because we were fed up with waiting for 'someday.' We did it for ourselves, for you, and for anyone who believes that sports are the ultimate way to make friends and feel at home where you are.

Our story

"I came up with the idea because my life has taken me through many different cities and new beginnings, and with every move, I faced the same paradox: I had the desire, I had the equipment, I had the time… but I had no one to step onto the court with." - Z. P.

We've all been there – you reach out to a few friends, two are tied up, the other is ghosting you, and in the end, organizing it becomes such a hassle that you just bail and settle for the couch.

Social networks or social isolation?

We’re living in an age of being 'connected' to thousands online, while struggling to find a single partner for a game in real life. Social networks have distorted what real interaction looks like. They’ve made us more timid, less driven, and stuck indoors. Today, 'knowing' someone virtually is effortless, but it takes real courage to go out and make a connection in person.

MatchyBG was born right here – in the gap between virtual likes and real-world sporting drive.

Our philosophy: "Created by friends, for friends"

MatchyBG isn’t just another app. It’s a community built by people who understand the struggle of "quality networking in the city" or the life of a "busy professional".

 • Our mission is simple: Getting you off the couch and onto the court. To help you find your team or your opponent exactly when you're ready to play—no endless texting, no complications.

 • Socialization through action: We believe that the best connections are made on the court, while chasing a common goal or fighting for every single point.

 • Sports without barriers: Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced player, you'll find people at your level here.
